Dogs and cats communicate basically the same as we do, they just never evolved past the basics, Their communications are straight out of the box, the same as when they got em. Animals communicate vocally but only the most basic feelings, hunger, hurt, lonely, afraid etc. So if you want to understand your animal, you have to know your animal. This is true for unknown animals also. The same as we can talk better to friends than strangers.After time spent together you will learn each other, just like with a friend.You will be able to communicate with each other on level most have never known.
